Burnham Grammar School
February 2, 2007Burnham Grammar School students are looking into the recent Dispersal Order set up in Burnham which gives police the power to break up groups of youths of 2 or more and move them on from the area. Anyone not complying can be arrested and charged with a public order offence.
Burnham is a leafy little village in Buckinghamshire bordering Slough. There has been some incidents of vandalism and theft in the area in recent times but it remains a very desirable place to live and work. Many people are surprised by the need for a Dispersal Order at all.
BGS students wanted to find out local reaction to the Order as well as how it was affecting young people in the area.
